Top Selling Jerseys in NHL for the First Three Months of The 2016 Season

Sidney Crosby has been an NHL megastar for years now. Yet, on the heels of another Penguin Stanley Cup final victory last summer, a familiar name tops our latest list of the top selling jerseys: Sid the Kid.

We compiled the data from October 1 through December 31, 2016 and put together the top 15 selling NHL player jerseys.

Toronto wonder kid Auston Matthews comes in second, followed by the Chicago duo of Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews. Edmonton Oilers youngster Connor McDavid rounds out the top five.

Vladimir Tarasenko checks in at eight, and a pair of Flyers, Claude Giroux and Shayne Gostisbehere come in at nine and ten.

Detroit 20 year old center Dylan Larkin is #11, coming in above names like Boston Bruins Patrice Bergeron (#14) and New York teammates Rick Nash (#13) and Ryan McDonagh (#15).

The Rangers are the only team with three players (Nash, McDonagh, and #6 seller Henrik Lundqvist).

Philadelphia and Chicago are the only other teams with more than one player.

Of the top 15 jerseys, two players are goalies (Lundqvist and Montreal star Carey Price) and two are defenders (Gostisbehere and McDonagh). The remaining 13 are all attacking players, the majority of which are centers.
